Rudy Rahman, BSc in Sports and Exercise Science (Edinburgh Napier University), is a rehabilitation-focused performance coach with over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry.
With a strong academic foundation in exercise science and decades of real-world coaching experience, Rudy combines scientific principles with practical application to deliver results that are both effective and sustainable.
Throughout his career he has worked with a wide spectrum of clients, from complete beginners to seasoned athletes, helping them overcome injuries, lose body fat, rebuild strength, and regain confidence in their bodies. His coaching goes beyond traditional personal training and is rooted in movement quality, injury prevention, and long-term physical resilience.
Rudy holds advanced certifications in rehabilitation, sports massage therapy, and cancer exercise training. He specialises in working with individuals who require more than just a workout — including those dealing with pain, postural issues, and long-standing physical limitations.
Having led teams and driven performance as a Fitness Manager at Virgin Active Singapore, Rudy brings not only technical expertise but also leadership, structure, and a deep understanding of what it takes to achieve lasting results.

Do you work with people who are currently injured or in pain?
Yes — this is central to how I coach. With advanced training in rehabilitation and corrective exercise, I regularly work with people managing pain, postural issues or long-standing physical limitations. We build your program around what your body can handle now and progress it safely. If you're dealing with an acute injury or medical condition, I'll always work alongside your doctor or physiotherapist.
What does a typical first session or assessment look like?
We start with a conversation about your history, any injuries or limitations, and what you want to achieve. From there I look at how you move and use that to build a personalised plan — so your training is matched to your body and your goals from day one.
Do you offer online coaching outside Perth?
Yes. Online coaching is available wherever you are. You'll get a custom program, regular check-ins and form correction from video you send through, so you're properly supported even when we're not training in person.
How is your approach different from a regular personal trainer?
My coaching is injury-aware and built on exercise science, not generic workouts. I combine strength training with rehabilitation, focus on movement quality and long-term resilience, and program for sustainable progress rather than quick fixes — everything is personalised to you, never a template.
